Privacy policy

This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and collects nothing about you. It's served by Cloudflare Pages.

Effective 3 October 2026.

This policy covers conchagent.com: the front page and the documentation (together, "the website"). The website is run by the maintainer of Conch ("we", "us"). Conch itself, the software you install, runs on your own computer and isn't covered here. What it does with your data is described in its security documentation.

The short version

  • We set no cookies.
  • We run no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or fingerprinting.
  • We load nothing from other companies: no scripts, fonts or images from third parties.
  • We have no accounts, forms or newsletters, so we never ask you for anything.
  • We don't sell, rent or share personal information, because we don't collect any.

What we collect

Nothing. The website is a set of static pages. It doesn't record who you are, what you read or where you came from.

Your browser's own storage

If you choose light or dark mode, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage on your device. It's never sent to us or anyone else. You can clear it at any time from your browser's settings.

Hosting

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives the technical details your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the address of the page. It uses them to deliver the website and protect it from abuse, and may keep them in logs for a limited time. Cloudflare handles this information as described in the Cloudflare privacy policy, and its network may process it in many countries.

Cloudflare may show us aggregate, anonymous counts, such as how many requests the website served. We don't use them to identify anyone, and we haven't turned on any analytics product.

The website links to other sites, such as GitHub, where Conch's code and downloads live. The install commands on this website fetch Conch from GitHub. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply when you visit or download from them.

Children

The website isn't directed at children, and since we collect nothing, we hold no information about anyone, including children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA give you rights over your personal data: to access it, correct it, delete it or object to its use. We don't hold any personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to give, change or delete. For the request details Cloudflare processes, contact Cloudflare. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We reserve the right to change this policy at any time. Changes take effect when they're published on this page, with a new effective date. Every earlier version stays public in the website's history on GitHub. If you keep using the website after a change, that means you accept the new policy.
