Providers
Grok
Use your Grok plan
Connect your Grok plan
- Open Settings → Providers and choose Grok.
- If it isn’t on this computer, press Install Grok.
- Press Sign in with X. Conch shows a short code. Choose Copy code and open sign-in page, paste it on xAI’s page and approve.
Your SuperGrok or X Premium+ plan’s usage applies. Conch uses xAI’s own Grok Build program with your own sign-in, and never sees its credentials.
The same Conch tools
Conch opens a door for each turn: a connection on this computer, with a key made for that turn, that hands the program Conch’s own tools. Files in the chat’s work folder, sealed commands with no network access, memory, the browser and your apps all go through Conch’s approvals, skill limits and Undo, the same as with every provider.
The program’s own tools that would change a file or run a command ask first, and Conch declines them. An action Conch can’t seal or put back doesn’t happen.
A chat carries on in the program’s own session from one message to the next. When a chat moves between providers, the one that joins is handed what it missed, and what was done along the way. Conch gives the program its instructions (your assistant’s name and voice, what it knows about you) the way the program takes them, not as part of your message.
What the program does with its own tools shows in the chat as it happens, the same as with every provider.
Good to know
- One weekly pool. Grok’s usage is shared with your other Grok apps.
- Prefer to pay per use? Connect the xAI API with a key instead.
- Early support. Grok Build’s agent mode is still new.
